Fire Department
The Rockwell Community Fire Department is charged with fire protection, fire prevention education, and rescue services in and around Rockwell, Iowa.
The Rockwell Community Fire Department is comprised of 20 volunteer members who provide fire protection, rescue services, and general emergency response across a 120-square-mile district. The fire district includes the City of Rockwell, portions of five surrounding townships, and the communities of Burchinal, Hanford, and Cartersville, as well as a section of Highway 65.
The district serves a population of approximately 3,000 residents and includes a mix of residential properties, agricultural structures, and businesses. The department responds to an average of 65 calls each year.
