Rockwell - Swaledale EMT

Emergency medical services are provided by the Rockwell-Swaledale Emergency Medical Team (EMT), a volunteer organization consisting of approximately 25 certified EMS providers.

Rockwell-Swaledale EMT is an authorized Paramedic-level, non-transport service with the capability to provide patient transport during mass casualty incidents.

The service area encompasses the communities of Rockwell, Swaledale, and Dougherty, along with the surrounding rural areas. The district covers more than 180 square miles, including a six-mile stretch of Interstate 35 and twelve miles of Highway 65.

Rockwell-Swaledale EMT operates as a private, non-profit organization funded through grants and community donations. The team responds to an average of 150 emergency calls each year.
